REQUIREMENTS
Popeyes is engaged in the business of retail food sales. Popeyes is a leader in the quick service restaurant industry because of the careful preparation of our “homemade fresh from scratch” tasting products. The local employer is Wil-Ken Enterprises, Inc., a franchise partner of Popeyes Chicken & Biscuits. The manager is responsible for the restaurant’s overall operations; to ensure that all the company standards are met; company policies and procedures are followed; costs are properly controlled; customers are served quickly and efficiently. They are responsible for maximizing the restaurant’s profitability which is achieved by maintaining Popeyes high standards for food quality, customer service and satisfaction, cleanliness, cost controls and people services management. Manager must make all decisions with the customer and employees in mind.

Functions of Job:

Managers must communicate effectively with employees, delegate to employees, supervise them effectively to ensure their assignments are completed properly and ensure that each shift is managed efficiently. The manager must train and develop employees, give them clear assignments, let them perform their jobs, then follow up on the assignment. The manager is ultimately responsible for every task that is delegated.

The store manager is responsible for ensuring that the restaurant has adequate supplies of food ingredients, paper goods and cooking supplies, etc. They must strive to optimize growth and profit and have the ability to consider long-term and short-term consequences to decisions. They are responsible for profit and loss and managing cash control.

The manager is responsible for building sales and customer activity through quality, service, cleanliness, implementing a national marketing plan, using profitable sales techniques, and implementing local store marketing techniques. They will also perform other duties as assigned by general manager or franchise partner.

Desired qualifications:

A high school graduate or equivalent and the ability to be certified through the Popeyes Training Program.

Must have at least one year of experience in food service management and preferably, three to six months of experience as an assistant manager.

Must have written and verbal communication skills, ability to understand processes and procedures and work within systems and possess some mathematical abilities.

Ability to make decisions, remain calm in stressful situations, handle frequent interruptions, and delegate effectively.

Personal Qualifications:

Exhibit good manners, neat personal appearance, proper personal hygiene, and ability to work as a team member;

Have a positive attitude and desire to do the best possible job at all times;

Adhere to established food handling procedures and meet any local health regulations;

Must be able to exert well-paced mobility for period of up to four (4) hours in length and have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Must have the stamina to work a minimum of 50-60 hours a week.
