APC
is seeking a Programmer Analyst (Reporting Solutions) for its Business
Intelligence Systems Team located in West Kingston, RI. The primary
role of the BI Programmer Analyst is to develop and support Data
Warehouse and Analytic solutions for various departments. This includes
utilizing all available BI front end tools (ie. Cognos, Siebel, Excel).

Key Responsibilities – Understand Business & User
Requirements and translate that into a business dimensional model, key
subject areas, dimensions, hierarchies, attributes and measures. Also
define high-level report/analysis, alerts and overall intelligence
dashboard functionality and user experience. Development of
reports/analysis, alerts and dashboard appearance and business logic.
Provide guidance to any members of user community involved in this
development as well.
Mandatory Qualifications:
Experience in systems development and programming and mapping business requirements to technical solutions. Minimum three years of industry experience building and supporting reporting solutions. Excellent verbal and written communication skills At least three years experience using Cognos tools. You must be proficient in at least three of the following:Impromptu - Creating catalogs, reports, and queries.PowerPlay - Creating reports in both client and web environments.Transformer - Designing and building cubes in a Unix environment with relative time categories and advanced functionality.ReportNet - Converting existing reports into ReportNet, designing, building, and maintaining reporting solutions.Metrics Manager – Metrics Designer – Ability to build and maintain metrics.
Preferred Qualifications: Oracle 8i/9i/10g experience Star Schema Implementation Experience Unix command line/shell scripting Siebel Analytics
