Products and Services Specialist

Vanguard, one of the world's largest investment management companies, has a challenging position for an individual with strong client-relationship and organizational skills as a Products and Services Specialist. Your primary responsibility is to build new relationships and grow existing ones by identifying the needs of prospective and current clients, discussing appropriate services, and connecting callers to the correct representatives. This front-line position is phone-based in a collaborative, call center environment.

On incoming prospect and client calls and outbound follow-up calls, you will consult with investors about their needs, objectives, investment experience, risk tolerance, and explain Vanguard's investing philosophy and differentiation in the investment marketplace. You'll identify leads and send those client calls to New Business Consultants for asset consolidation support. You'll also identify advice-only leads, position the proper services, and forward those calls as needed. You'll handle basic service issues and transfer client problems to the appropriate service segment. On all calls you will enter relevant caller data on our systems.

You'll be expected to maintain a thorough knowledge of all of Vanguard's services and marketing campaigns, and of competitors' offerings. You should also remain current on relevant regulatory and department policies and procedures. You'll participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS


- Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Minimum of one year of directly related investment industry experience.
- Proven experience working with external clients.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Series 6 and 63 licenses.
- Knowledge of Vanguard funds and of the investment marketplace.
