Platform Architect / Technical Services Analyst

Summary:
Project, plan and perform technical services and hardware platform architecture by performing the following duties:

•Work with Product Architects on strategic development plans to ensure hardware and third party software needs are determined and scheduled to make best use of available technology and consistencies between products.
•Determine testing needs to keep current on third party software for our products.
•Determine and develop High Availability and Failover plans for product suite.
•Identify needs of customer solution for implementation of successful project.
•Identify and assist in the resolution of product defects impacting acceptance.
•Review and update High Availability, Integration/ Verifications and Acceptance Test Plans.
•Support Consulting Analysts in the development of Acceptance Criteria.
•Perform installation, configuration and technical services as requested.
•Responsible for developing product and customer knowledge to perform technical services for all products.
•Set-up and execute test plans in QE and customer environments.
•Field technical questions during service execution.
•Conduct appropriate communications with client, technical manager and others supporting or requiring technical services.
•Maintain positive business relationships with all vendors and clients.
•Other duties may be assigned as determined.

Possesses and applies broad knowledge of principles and practices of a specialized field. Considerable interface with a broad spectrum of customers. Works on multiple tasks and assignments. Communicates with internal and external sources to prepare and perform technical services.

Direction and Judgment:
Performs activities of a professional nature in support of more than one functional area of a specialized field. Works independently with minimal supervision. Works largely non-repetitive tasks and requires discretion and independent judgment for performance of technical services and customer interaction.

Provides input to team and may direct work of others on a particular project.

Skill and Requirements:
Applies in-depth knowledge of basic principles within field of expertise. Individual has responsibility for more than one business area. BS/BA degree in an associated discipline or equivalent experience. A minimum of two to four years experience is required for this position.
