Essential Functions & Duties
The Clinic Director is a licensed physical therapist responsible for the clinical service, operations, clinic growth, and staff development in a partnership approach with the Clinic Business Manager. The successful Clinic Director will maximize clinic growth by providing uncompromising therapy service.
Clinical
1. Directs patient care and supervision of care including evaluation, assessment and planning; insures proper case management.
2. Assures staff remains current as the rehabilitation field advances, by providing learning opportunities for them to develop advanced clinical skills.
3. Assists in development and implementation of clinic policies and procedures regarding patient care and compliance.
4. Assures necessary equipment is available and in working order.
5. Participates in opportunities with company research programs and projects.
Management
1. Directly supervises therapists, other clinical staff.
2. Recruits, selects and retains top clinical staff; approves of other hires by teaming with the Clinic Business Manager in the hiring process.
3. Practices sound employee management techniques in accordance with company administrative procedures, the employee handbook, and employment laws.
4. Utilizes available division resources in situations where uncertainty exists in potentially problematic employee relations or other management issues.
5. Consistently communicates with staff through scheduled staff meetings, annual reviews, and an informal open-door practice.
6. Advances the growth of the clinic by actively supporting the company philosophy and goals.
7. Assures compliance with Federal/Medicare guidelines and company compliance policies.
Marketing
1. Develops and implements a systematic marking plan which includes making calls to physicians, nurses, clinicians and other potential referral sources.
2. Provides educational marketing programs for referral sources, area businesses, and the general community.
3. Analyzes patient survey satisfaction feedback to understand how to improve services.
4. Communicates with referral sources by providing regular feedback regarding patient progress.

Education/Certification:
· Graduate of accredited program in physical/occupation/speech therapy.
· Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of practice.
· Knowledge of accepted Physical Therapy applications.
· Certification in areas of specialization.
Experience/Knowledge Required:
· Three or more years experience as a practicing therapist.
· Knowledge of what is required to run a successful clinic.
· Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
Skills/Abilities:
· Master of physical therapy application & equipment.
· Highly developed communication, personal interaction & customer relations skills.
· Management skills sufficient to operate a successful clinic
