Patient Care Rep/Respiratory Therapist

Manage territory to reach service and budgeted revenue goals. Deliver, set-up, and maintain equipment and oxygen as required in accordance with applicable FDA and DOT guidelines.
2. Educate patients in proper use and care of respiratory and DME equipment in a home setting.
3. Educate coworkers on the features and benefits of DME and respiratory equipment.
4. Complete written patient visit reports following set-up and follow-up visits as required.
5. Maintain communication and rapport with ordering physicians through patient visit reports and other appropriate means.
6. Assist in resolving patient equipment problems under emergency conditions.
7. Process all received orders in a timely, accurate manner.
8. Promote services and products to referral sources in the community as appropriate.
9. Develop basic reimbursement knowledge and document information necessary to ensure maximum reimbursement.
10. Develop technical knowledge, as appropriate, of the DME or respiratory products/services sold.
11. Coordinate product recalls.
12. Assist and participate in the implementation of IOP Plan to meet company and accrediting body standards.
13. Maintain home oxygen systems through regularly scheduled visits to patients.
14. Deliver and set-up required equipment in the patient's residence, or other location as directed.
15. Assume on-call responsibilities in accordance with company policy.
16. Perform routine as needed preventive maintenance and simple repairs on equipment as required in accordance with the company's policies.
17. Report equipment hazards and/or product incidents as required in accordance with company policy.
18. Participate in continuing education programs.
19. Attend staff meetings as required by location.
20. REQUIREMENTS
1. Ability to manage a territory and communicate well with patients, referral sources and location employees. 2. Bachelor's Degree, RRT, CRTT, RN, LPN or equivalent experience in DME industry. 3. Current CPR certification. 4. Licensed or credential as required by state. 5. Pediatric experience preferred.
