PC / Internet Support Technician
PC / INTERNET SUPPORT TECHNICIAN
Seeking a versatile, motivated, self-starting individual who possesses technical call center skills helping our customer base with a wide variety of issues using WIN98, WINME, WIN2000, WINXP, MAC, Outlook, Outlook Express, Eudora, USENET news readers, FTP clients, dial-up modem settings, Dial Up Networking settings, DSL troubleshooting, and TCP/IP configurations. While not required, it helps if you understand domain names, DNS, and how webhosting works.
You will also travel to customer locations within a 100 mile radius of our office, when needed, for on-site support work to troubleshoot different issues, be they simple email software settings to setting user permissions on a Windows 2003 server, diagnosing hardware failures, synching Blackberry devices, modifying Microsoft Exchange server settings, removing spyware/virii, etc. You must have well-rounded IT experience. Monetary bonuses to the on-site work and mileage reimbursements are applied. If on-site work requires that you arrive before 8:00am or stay beyond 5:00pm, you will be expected to do so.
Excellent phone/in-person customer service skills is a must. The desire to learn and troubleshoot independently using your own resources on the fly is a must. The ability to compose fluent and professional emails is a must. Having your own, dependable transportation is a must.
Starting salary range commensurate with experience. Comprehensive benefits package offered, including dental and vision. Six paid holidays per year.
