Ophthalmic Technician and Patient Services Rep

We are looking for candidates with exceptional customer service to staff openings in our growing Mt. Vernon office. You will be part of a professional team with its primary focus on personalized, high quality patient care.

Technicians help in a variety of areas: taking down patient histories, providing patient services, administering diagnostic tests and maintaining instruments. High school diploma or equivalent, 1-2 years experience in the healthcare field or a combination of relevant education and experience. Ophthalmic or optical experience preferred. Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail required.

Patient Service Representatives - Greet patients, collect and update patient demographic data, answer patient questions, triage patient calls, schedule appointments on computer. General office duties including chart preparation, filing, checking insurance authorizations and referrals, and other duties as assigned. Monitor and maintain patient waiting area.

High School Graduate or equivalent; 1 year minimum of general office experience, medical reception experience a plus; and computer knowledge, including Outlook and MS Word.
