Operations Specialist - SettlementsSchwab Operations' street-side operations are critical parts of
Schwab's business engine. We make investing and trading possible by
running the processes for settlements and fully paid client position
control; we help ensure our clients receive high quality service and
execution on all clearance and settlement issues. This includes
providing support for custody and servicing of assets; and the
facilitation of reporting and communications to ensure control of
assets is achieved within regulatory mandates.
It is our goal in Clearance and Settlement to control and settle all
street side transactions for the firm; to ensure that the firm is in
strict regulatory compliance with all applicable SRO rules, to manage
risk inherent in such transactions, and to support our clients
providing stellar service. Our team supports: Equity Trading, TOA,
Institutional, Prime Broker, Fixed Income Trading, Mutual Funds, and
Regulatory accounting.
Responsibilities:
Clearance and Settlement is looking for an Operations Specialist who
will be responsible for fail control and analysis on foreign and
domestic equities and fixed income trades. You will perform the
following functions: proactive resolution on unsettled obligations,
problem resolution on aged fails, and buy-ins.

Qualifications:
Knowledge of domestic and foreign markets;
Excellent writing and analytical skills
Strong math skills
Strong Microsoft Office and spreadsheet skills
Knowledge of SEC and NASD rules a plus
