NW client seeking Medical Collectors. Working Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.

Job Summary:
Candidate will proactively negotiates and collects medical payment from customers by following assigned collection campaigns, negotiating and coordinating payment of accounts with customer, processing special payment arrangements and updating system as necessary. Refers collections issues resulting from incorrect bills to Resolution Specialist.

Duties:

·Initiate phone contact to customers in purchasing and/or the finance area to facilitate prompt payment of invoices
·Arrange payment date and amount; follow-up in a timely manner to ensure receipt of payment
·Escalate requests for payment from clerical accounts payable staff to supervisor to Manager/Controller to Administrator and/or other executive level to facilitate payments
·Identify any billing disputes that relate to product, rate, equipment operation, number of billed days, terms of payment due date, national accounts and any other issue that may cause delay, and forward to the Resolution Specialist
·Initiate credit memos for entry by the Resolution Specialist when appropriate
·Initiate and apply credit adjustments for entry by the Resolution Specialist when appropriate
·Create, FAX or mail missing or lost documents
·Contact sales or service personnel to request assistance and/or involvement to resolve payment delays
·Coordinate and communicate payment needs and dates to field personnel in order to continue service to the customer
·Advise manager of severe collection problems
·Recommend credit hold to manager when all attempts to resolve payments have failed

1.Must have one year medical collections experience
2.Knowledge of credit memos and adjustments
3.Ability to recognize the need to escalate requests
4.Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and customers
5.PC skills
6.Excellent telephone communication skills
7.Demonstrates excellent problem-solving skills and negotiating skills
8.Achieves passing scores on pre-employment skills tests
9.Willingness and ability to participate in all required training programs
10.Ability to work effectively in a team environment, as well as independently
