Medical Case Manager

- 3 OPEN POSITIONS:- Work as a Medical Counselor to provide an additional resource to assist healthcare providers and/or patients who have questions pertaining to all of their products.- Responsible for serving as a single point of contact for healthcare providers/patients to help navigate prescription acquisition and reimbursement process and to resolve outstanding questions pertaining to their products.- Must have strong customer care focus, good judgement, strong follow skills to see an issue through to resolution.- Familiarity with medical-related processes and terms in order to interact effectively with healthcare providers.- Initiative to solve problems and identify appropriate solutions within the context of the companies policies and programs.- Attention to detail, good empathetic listening skills in order to interact effectively with patients.- Must be flexible and adapt to a changing environment.
REQUIREMENTS
•BA or BS degree required; LPN, RN, or Pharmacist experience preferred•Degree in a medical/scientific field preferred•The candidate must have experience with:•Customer service /case management environment in the pharma/insurance industry or in a clinical practice setting•Reimbursement experience, either in the pharma industry or a managed care insurance entity•Patient-focused advocacy•5 – 7 years experience in the biopharmaceutical, insurance or healthcare provider industry with a focus on reimbursement/managed care•The candidate must have a strong knowledge of the reimbursement environment for pharmaceutical products including familiarity with Medicare Part D. Knowledge of the cancer field and reimbursement for oral oncology agents strongly preferred. Must also have knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy.
