Shft: DaysJob Description:Responsible for the quality, reliability, and integrity of Registration data.
Responsible for the Pre-registration functions, ensuring 90% of all pre-scheduled patients are pre-registered prior to arrival. Responsible for the insurance verification functions. Responsible for all compliance issues. Responsible for planning, organizing, implementing and maintaining operational plans, systems and initiatives to support standardized operation procedures system wide. Manage the operational and fiscal activities of the department to include: staffing levels, budgets, productivity, quality, and financial goals. Responsible for the communication of all Managed Care and contracted provider agreements for all Registration staff members. Manage and provide leadership to all aspects of the patient intake activities in order to maximize cash flow in coordination with the operational aspects under the direction of the Operations Director. Review the audit reports to ensure quality of registration data. Address with individual employees to ensure expectations are met and training is provided as needed.Experience
A minimum of three, (3) years patient intake experience and management experience in a hospital setting.Education/Licensure
A minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Business, Management, Health Care or related area is required. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience will also be considered.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Must possess a strong knowledge of patient access management. Also must have a thorough knowledge of applicable laws, operational and policy guidelines and professional standards. A keen understanding of third party payor operations, excellent management skills, good computer understanding and skills, excellent communication skills, strong change management skills. Must demonstrate personal traits of a high-level commitment, motivation and energy, team orientation, professionalism, trust, personal honesty and integrity, and a demonstration of placing others in a place of high value and treating them with dignity and respect.
