The American Institutes for Research (AIR) is an educational research organization specializing in education, assessment, health, international and other social policy issues. AIR’s Health Program is currently seeking candidates for our Frederick, MD office to provide inquirers with the most accurate and up to date health information. In addition to routine health-related inquires, this position will require reviewing and editing written responses.The Inquiry Response Associate provides inquirers with the most accurate and up to date health information within the guidelines set by the all Client Agencies. This will include, among other things, selecting and adapting appropriate standard responses to recurring/non-complex inquiries, helping to identify and develop custom responses to new or complex inquiries, providing referrals to approved external resources, web and literature searches, and coordinating responses which require input from other Agency and/or AIR staff. The Inquiry Response Associate will participate in proactive outreach efforts to contact institutional buyers, as well as, other potential customers to develop a relationship and be a point of contact to address the customer’s needs.AIR offers an excellent compensation and benefits package. REQUIREMENTS
Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in health sciences, public health, health administration health information or a related information science/technology field; 1-3 years experience in health projects and/or health information service programs with demonstrated research and inquiry response skills, a strong knowledge of health information resources on the Internet, and the ability to comprehend and use a range of basic to intermediate technical resources. Ability to perform basic and intermediate searches for information on the Internet and adequately assess the appropriateness and reliability of the results; excellent communication and problem-solving skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office software applications; strong attention to detail and organizational skills; ability to travel locally and/or to out of state conferences are all required. Candidates will preferably be Bilingual (English and Spanish); have previous call center experience; and have a health information education/background.
