Job Description
IT Infrastructure Services SpecialistOur Global IT Department is dedicated to servicing our more than 100 subsidiaries world-wide with leading-edge technologies. Within our Global Collaboration Service organization (Infrastructure Services Department) we are looking for a specialist to operate and further develop our services.Daily operations of Heidelberg’s global collaboration and messaging environment in a follow-the-sun mode, specifically: Systems monitoring and incident managementProfessional change management (upgrades, patches)Work with vendors and manufacturers on support cases2nd level support and consulting for worldwide IT units and helpdeskParticipation in global projects and initiativesParticipation in development, implementation and documentation of new services and related operating proceduresStrong coordination of all activities with the global team.
Job Requirements
IT Infrastructure Services Specialist2 years + operational experience of large, complex Windows 2003, Active Directory and Exchange 2003 infrastructures.Educated to University degree level, MCSE, or equivalent by experience.Experience in utilizing systems monitoring and management platforms, e.g. HP Openview or SMS.Experience in Microsoft Live Communication Server, Sharepoint or Interwoven Worksite would be an advantage.Knowledge of IT Service Management processes and best practice (such as ITIL) are desirable.Excellent communication skills, customer orientation, self motivation and the ability to integrate into a global team spread across regions are very important.IT project management experience would be an advantage.Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
