Home, Commercial & Industrial Media Sales Specialist

Viking Electric Supply is looking for a sales specialist to work with our sales staff, selling and promoting products in the Home Theater Systems, Whole House Audio Systems, Home & Commercial Security Systems, and Structured Wiring Systems. We market products such as Sony New Home Solutions, Jamo speakers, Monster Cable, G-E security systems, Hubbell premise, PanNet, and many more; to expand, support, and grow Communication Media (Data Com) sales for the Twin Cities Sales accounts, seeking out new customers and strengthening relationships with Viking’s customers and vendors. Additional duties and responsibilities are:
•Promote and support Viking’s growth in the various Communication Media initiatives by working with our vendors to train our customers and Viking Associates
•Create a market, sales, and support plan for Communication Media growth and review quarterly
•Analyze, initiate, and attend the pertinent sales, marketing, promotional, and technical training to perform all of the requirements of the position including traveling to other Viking or vendor locations
•Regularly assist all sales associates engaged in identifying Communication Media account potential, quoting Communication Media, closing orders, and entering Communication Media orders
•Initiate, develop, and provide pertinent “how to sell Communication Media” training to Viking sales associates. This will be an ongoing program throughout each year.
REQUIREMENTS
Excellent written & verbal communication skills, organizational skills, and computer skills are required. The ability to work with and maintain a positive relationship with fellow Viking Electric associates is a must. Qualified candidates must be self directed, organized, and able to prioritize and self-study learning skills required; must be outgoing, a team builder, and proactive in getting results; must have a customer focus and be a strategic planner; and must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
