Historical Presenter and Customer Service Positions

The Henry Ford-America's Greatest History Attraction, is currently hiring part time staff for the positions of Historical Presenter and Visitor Services Staff.

Historical Presenter (seasonal):
Responsible for delivering historical presentations to the public on a daily basis. Presentations may require the demonstration of historical equipment and processes, including: cooking, gardening, textile production, housework, agriculture, animal husbandry, motor vehicle operation, machinery operation, crafts, and trade production. Some role playing and wearing of period clothing may be required; women in period clothing wear a corset. Must be capable of communicating effectively with visitors of all ages and pass the required training for Basic Presentation Skills. Must be flexible regarding schedule-weekdays, weekend, and holiday availability required. Model T drivers must possess a valid driver's license and the ability to drive stick shift car. This is a seasonal position which will go until the end of the year 2006. Position pays $7.00/hour. Visitor Services:
Provides hospitality, service, and knowledge to our visitors. Responsible for selling various types of admission tickets and passes. Responsible for monitoring entrances and exits. Handles customer inquiries and issues effectively, promptly, and consistently. High School diploma preferred. Must be pleasant, outgoing, possess good communication skills, and have a positive attitude toward the museum and its mission. Must be flexible regarding schedule-weekdays, weekend, and holiday availability required.
