National Recreational Properties Inc. specializes in turning the American Dream into reality. Established over 15 years ago, NRPI buys and sells land across the country and has thousands of happy customers nationwide. As our business continues to expand into new markets, we are looking for great people to help grow our team. The company's corporate office is centrally located in the Irvine Spectrum area of Orange County, CA. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who relishes a challenge to join our team.
Provides support to end users on a variety of issues. Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems. Responds to telephone calls; email, ticketing system and personnel requests for technical support. Documents, tracks, and monitors the problem to ensure a timely resolution. May require an associate's degree in a related area and 1-3 years of experience in the industry or related field. Familiar with a variety of the computer concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. Will report to a supervisor or manager. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Technician will be required to work some weekends and travel 15%-20% to offsite facilities and land auctions to assist with set-up and troubleshooting IT workstations and hardware, office setup and training.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES•Provides telephone, email and on-site support to all PC users within the company.•Repairs malfunctioning PC and/or printer equipment.•Installs PC hardware and software.•Document software process and procedures within the Help Desk environment and fully document assigned projects.
•Troubleshooting customer issues involving desktop hardware/software issues, networking or in-house application issues.
REQUIREMENTS
•Great communication skills and an easygoing personality with customers and team
•A good understanding of teamwork
•Ability to work effectively with all levels of users (both technical and non-technical users, from staff to senior management)
•Strong customer service skills and a willingness to work in call center environment triaging customer issues and scheduling desktop tasks
•Familiarity with trouble ticket process and escalation of problems
•Experienced in installing, and troubleshooting computer hardware and software
•Knowledge of all phases and variations of PCoperation/support.•Understanding of latest desktop software and hardware, antivirus software and other applications
•Project management experience with large-scale application migrations or deployments (i.e. from MS Office 2000 to MS Office 2003)
•Installation and support experience with Windows XP Pro and other Microsoft operating systems and applications, such as MS Office suite 97-2003, MS Outlook 2003
•A+ certification ( or acquiring A+ certification within 90 days)
•Leadership qualitiesPreferred Skills/Qualification (a plus):
•Knowledge of scripting languages such as VBScript
•Experience with Remote Access software.•Experience with Active Directory and Exchange administration.
•Experience with Crystal Report Writer, Access VB, .Net, Java, cabling.
•Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSHelpdesk/Desktop Technician 2- must be able to travel 15-20% of the time
