Specific responsibilities include:

*First level phone support for approximately 3,000 clients

*Provides support to end clients on a variety of issues by using skill set to resolve problem on first contact

*Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems that are within skill set

*Functionally escalates to appropriate IT Divisional resource for problem resolution

*Assumes ownership of all Trouble Calls entered, and follows up with assigned IT resources as well as client until TC is resolved

*Documents, tracks and monitors the problem to ensure a timely resolution

*Uses proper telephone etiquette

*Utilizes refined "soft skills" for client support

Requires an Associate’s degree; STI Knowledge (or industry authority); Certified Help Desk Professional, CompTIA A+. Preferred skills include Microsoft Certified Professional 2000/2003, CompTIA Net+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Technician.
