Health Services Coordinator

CARMELITE CAREFREE VILLAGE, Darien, Illinois, a faith-based 95 unit independent and assisted living community, is expanding. Our ideal candidate for this newly created position is a resourceful, make it happen leader who is passionate about working with the elderly.

Position: Health Services Coordinator

Qualifications: Licensed registered nurse in good standing with the Department of Professional Regulation. Demonstrated knowledge of applicable federal and state laws and regulatory agency requirements. Certification in CPR. Minimum of 3 years experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a geriatric care environment. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Computer literate with ability to learn new software.

Job Responsibilities:Develop and implement Health Services program at Carmelite Carefree Village. Oversee incident/accident forms and monitor documentation. Assist Executive Director in hiring, orientation, evaluation, supervision, counseling, and disciplining assigned staff. Schedule CNAs. Assist with in-services and continuing education. Oversee TB screening program for staff and residents. Monitor and order supplies for Health Services department. Review resident medication and physician orders. Monitor care managers for compliance with the skin care program.Participate in "on call" system of nursing managment. Remain current on all applicable federal, state, and local laws, and regulatory agency requirements. Perform other duties as assigned.
