Hardware Purchasing Coordinator / Customer Service

Permanent, full-time, non-exemptQualifications: 2+ years experience as a Customer Service Representative. Excellent data entry skills with an error rate of 5% or lower and proven superior customer service skills required. Experience working with computer accounting/order entry system. Prior experience with Everest, Inc.’s, Everest software is preferred but not required. Must be able to effectively address customer problems. Ability to work without close supervision. Ability to work in a fast paced environment with multiple priorities and tight deadlines. Must be able to cope with stress brought on by standards, uneven workflow, decision making and changing priorities. Team-oriented with positive, professional attitude and strong work ethic. Knowledge of CATV network systems, hardware/electronics is also a plus.
Primary tasks: This position is accountable for supporting members’ hardware purchasing activity to achieve maximum savings.
Primary responsibilities include the following:
Receive and process member calls/e-mails regarding orders, inquires, quotes, terms to members, etc. within four hours.
Communicate new product, vendor, and industry information to members as it becomes available.
Track all member correspondence through Everest software.
Receive member orders and enter into accounting system in a timely manner.
Revise, cancel, and add products to pre-existing orders.
Place and expedite member orders with vendors.
Send order confirmations to member and provide tracking information when needed.
Track orders and notify member of order status.
Research and resolve member and vendor pricing/product discrepancies.
Act as an accounting liaison by working out and documenting discrepancies on orders.
Act as backup to Hardware Purchasing (Sales) Support Coordinator.
Add, update and discontinue product/contact information.
Demonstrate an accurate and broad level of product / vendor knowledge.
Establish and maintain a broad knowledge level of Everest software.
Maintain a knowledge and appreciation for members.
REQUIREMENTS
2+ years experience as a Customer Service Representative.
High School diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent work experience.
Knowledge and experience in the telecommunications industry (especially CATV network systems) is preferred.
Proven superior customer service skills.
Excellent data entry skills with an error rate of 5% or lower.
Ability to perform general clerical duties.
Must be detail oriented.
Team-oriented with positive, professional attitude and strong work ethic.
Ability to Multi-task.
Ability to work without close supervision.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment with multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Good organizational skills.
Basic PC skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office software is essential.
