Honeywell Process Solutions (HPS) is a $1.6 billion strategic business unit that improves the productivity and profitability of industrial facilities on every continent around the world. HPS offers a full range of automation and control solutions to key vertical markets, including Energy, Pulp&Paper, and Chemicals/Pharmaceuticals, and develops/markets industrial automation systems and advanced software applications. We are seeking a Field Service Specialist who will assist taking the HPS business to the next level. Competitive salary and excellent benefits await the successful candidate.





This Senior Field Service Specialist is responsible for providing advanced level support primarily for Pulp&Paper customers and internal service personnel covering a geographic area in George and Florida (between I-75 and the east coast of Georgia).

Preferred area for location is in the Savannah GA area.



Principle Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


Perform Preventative, Corrective and Emergency maintenance on customer's QCS and DCS equipment


Perform Static and Dynamic testing and calibration to ensure customer sensors are accurate and repeatable


Analyzes faults and product performance


Defines the proper actions for problem resolution and performance improvement on a variety of products within a customer environment


Maintain all required site and system documentation in a timely manner


Evaluate and modify MD and CD loops as well as write detailed analysis reports


Independently troubleshoot and solve complex system and process related problems


Actively interfaces with customers at all levels. Ensures customer satisfaction and demonstrates customer value


Provide support for PM accounts and provide technicians support as required including outages, emergency relief and vacation coverageJob Requirements

Basic Qualifications:
Associate's degree or equivalent in a technically related discipline
Minimum of 10 years related experience
Valid driver's license.
Ability to provide 24x7 customer coverage

Additional Requirements:
Solid knowledge of Pulp&Paper processes
Fully capable in Pulp&Paper environments and familiarity with MXOpen, ProLine, DaVinci and associated sensors utilized within these environments; including but not limited to:
CD Web, Autoslice, Devronizer, and Aquatrol
Intelli-map
Fully capable of using available analysis tools to solve complex system or process problems
Fully capable of developing new PMS for existing and new products
Expert ability to design/engineer solutions to prevent recurring problems
Act as primary point of communications between our customers and Honeywell
Help expand service opportunities for Honeywell into field instrumentation
Possesses knowledge of Honeywell product offerings and ability to recognize and communicate selling opportunities
Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills, both written and verbal
Solid organizational and time management skills
Demonstrated track record of providing positive results through use of problem solving skills

Honeywell can trace its roots back to 1885, when an inventor named Albert Butz patented the furnace regulator and alarm. He formed the Butz Thermo-Electric Regulator Co., Minneapolis, on April 23, 1886, and a few weeks later invented a simple, yet ingenious device that he called the "damper flapper."


Here's how it worked. When a room cooled below a predetermined temperature, a thermostat closed the circuit and energized an armature. This pulled the stop from the motor gears, allowing a crank attached to the main motor shaft to turn one-half revolution. A chain connected to the crank opened the furnace's air damper to let in air. This made the fire burn hotter. When the temperature rose to the preset level, the thermostat signaled the motor to turn another half revolution, closing the damper and damping the fire. The temperature correction was automatic. Over the years, many Honeywell products have been based upon similar, but more complicated closed-loop systems.
