FT Customer Service Representative I

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE
Answers, researches and resolves customer service questions, inquiries, requests and problems in an accurate, efficient and timely manner. Provides a high level of customer service in accordance with policies and guidelines.
Provides service to TCF Consumer Lending and TCF Financial Services as it relates to TCF Consumer loan products.
Researches misapplied payments, provides written histories, establishes stop payments, obtains copies of credit line checks and waives fees when appropriate.
Avoids possible loss of funds through fraudulent use by evaluating and authorizing credit line advances at the branch level.
Reconciles and clears items that appear on the following: loan payment and line advance General Ledger(GL), checking operations credit line advance and payment reject GL, ACH payment setup reject report, ACH and RDI GL, tickler expiration report, overdraft protection reject GL and credit lines with credit balances report.
Supports the Consumer Loan Collection Department. Researches and analyzes delinquency problems. Responsibilities include: posting payments, and establishing holds on past due accounts.
Researches and evaluates credit reporting discrepancies.
Receives all Loan Servicing mail and distributes as labeled.
Performs the required maintenance on accounts as requested by Branch, Collections or Customer.QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
Preferred:
High school graduate or equivalent.WORK EXPERIENCE
Required:
Demonstrated communication and organizational skills.
Ability to prioritize work.
Keyboarding experience.Preferred:
1 year phone or customer service experience.
Previous personal computer experience with ability to type 30 words per minute.
