Executive Housekeeper Description BASIC FUNCTION: Manages the housekeeping and laundry services of the hotel. To plan, organize, motivate and control the housekeeping functions necessary to provide our guests with top-quality, clean accommodations. JOB DUTIES: Trains and motivates Housekeeping and Laundry personnel Schedules personnel to provide timely service in the hotel Conducts monthly inventories Inspects property daily - compiles reports on status of rooms Conducts employee performance evaluations Performs guest room housekeeping duties, laundry functions, and cleans public areas as needed.
REQUIREMENTS
GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY: Requires ability to select, train, evaluate, motivate and discipline as needed. Operates the department within the budget. Requires some travel. MENTAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION: Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to the completion of 4 of years of high school. Two years of college preferred. EXPERIENCE: Requires minimum 1 year experience in supervising others. Six months commercial housekeeping or maintenance experience preferred. PHYSICAL SKILLS: Requires ability to walk or stand 5 to 6 hours each day while inspecting rooms. Requires ability to lift up to 25 - 35 pounds during the work day. Requires ability to perform all duties of the Housekeeper.
