Driver Hiring Manager & Operations Support

SUMMARY: This position exists to develop a diverse number of sources that provides the best possible driver candidates. It also has the responsibility to deliver the required number of driver candidates and increase the diversity of the drivers of the company. Another responsibility will be to assist local operations during peak business periods in any capacity needed.

KEY DUTIES
-Develop sources for driver candidates within the community
-Participate in the selection process and assist in scheduling interviews
-Assist District Manager supporting North East operations as needed during peak business periods
-Attend driver schools to evaluate candidates
-Evaluate the recruitment process and make recommendations for improvement
-Coordinate with HR Training and Development staff recruiting methods and materials
-Track the success of the candidates at each milestone of the selection, training and hiring processes
REQUIREMENTS
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND TRAINING
-Bachelor’s degree preferred
-Knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint
-2-4 years general operations knowledge preferred
-Ability to exercise considerable diplomacy, judgement, and discretion in establishing and maintaining good working relationship with Company and community sources of employment
-Transportation industry experience, experience with a training-based company, and sales or marketing experience preferred
-Travel required 2 to 3 times a month
-Fluent in Spanish (verbal & written) preferred
-Good organizational skills
-Solid verbal/written communication skills
-Empathetic, with good listening skills
