Drafter EWP (engineered wood products)/Customer Service EWP Spec

Responsibilities:

Performs drafting duties which include compiling placement plans for BMDD dealer's customers that convert conventional floor and roof framing material to Boise Cascade BCI joints utilizing a computer aided system. May work extensively with lumber dealers, contractors, engineers and architects to provide a complete framing package. On occasion, may be asked to make outside sales calls to lumber yards and construction job sites, as required. Assist in the inventory management of the LVL department. (DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE) Customer Service Rep EWP, may back-up EWP Product Mgr when absent
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:

Post high school education (college, vocational, or specialized training) or equivalent experience. Working knowledge of CAD system, blueprint reading, and drafting. Need strong math skills, written and verbal communication skills, and familiarity with engineering terms and specifications. Knowledge of the building materials industry and construction practices preferred. EWP Customer Service Specialist must have 2 - 3 years EWP engineering/drafting experience.
