Dispatcher

Assists walk-in and phone customers in the dispatch and the rental of equipment, vehicles and tools in a timely, accurate and efficient manner.

Coordinates and ensures the timely and accurate dispatch of rental equipment and tools to customers.
Accurately coordinates drivers' schedules.
Ensures accurate pick-up and delivery times are met.
Assists in dispatch resolution by coordinating alternate choices.
Reports problems to supervisor in a timely and accurate manner and follows up to ensure problem resolution.
Maintains vehicle inspection forms, licensing and permits.
Maintains DOT compliance of drivers.
Keeps current with State and Federal regulations regarding road restrictions/DOT compliance.
Demonstrates orientation toward excellent customer service by conducting daily activities, communications, and interactions in a cooperative, positive and professional manner.
Implements, sustains and develops quality process improvements that focus on safety, financials, operations and customer service.


Requirements:
Preferably at least two (2) years related experience or as a Sales Coordinator.
Knowledge of all applicable rental equipment.
Computer literacy.
Effective logistics skills.
High school degree or equivalent.
Effective communication and logistical capabilities.
Reconcile payments accepted at counter.
Significant administrative and paperwork skills.
Customer Service and Dispatch training preferred.
Able to lift 10 lbs, bend, stoop, squat, reach, crouch and kneel. Sit or stand for long periods of time.
Has working knowledge of construction equipment and requirements for deliveries and pickups.
Some locations may require a personal telephone for on-call purposes and schedule changes.
