Direct Sales Professional (DSP)
Direct Sales Professional, approximate annual base salary is $29,848.00

Allstate is recruiting for the Customer Information Center in the Woodridge area and, as a result, is looking for candidates with strong customer service sales skills.

The DSP is a licensed representative in 18 states and is responsible for initiating and successfully closing sales opportunities and supporting marketing campaigns through inbound and outbound contacts in a way that enables the contact center to meet its customer satisfaction and business performance goals.

The DSP will:
1) Answer complex customer inquiries or resolve complex service concerns in order to support customers.
2) Provide service to customers through inbound/outbound calls and internal call transfers for cross sales and mail or fax transactions.
3) Provide an exceptional sales experience to customers in order to meet sales targets and performance goals.
4) Provide quotes for both auto and property premiums and bind policies.
5) Proactively identify and act on cross-selling opportunities in order to increase household penetration and improve customer retention, applying effective selling and influencing techniques.
6) Develop subject matter expertise and remain current on new marketing campaigns in order to respond appropriately to marketing related inquiries.
7) Prospect for new business during routine customer calls.

The skills required are:
1) An existing property and casualty license for state in which you live, or the ability to successfully pass the Insurance Licensing Exam for the state in which you live within two attempts after accepting the position.
2) The ability to obtain and maintain an Insurance License for the state(s) for which you live, work, and service.
3) The ability to resolve complex questions/issues and refer other inquiries to appropriate areas as needed.
4) A comprehensive understanding of specific company products in order to portray confidence and credibility to customers.
5) The ability to answer customer inquiries that require an agent's license on coverage’s, limits and deductibles and review customer policies, discuss options and update customer policy records.
6) Process changes to customer policies, which require an agent's license.

Other:
•P&C Insurance background is desirable but not required
•Computer Proficiency: Microsoft Office
•Education: College preferred, High School required
•Bilingual Spanish skills a plus but not required
•Must successfully qualify and pass the Leap and Rep-evaluator assessments.


***The Woodridge office is open 365 days per year. Applicants for the DSP position must be able to work one weekend day as part of their regular scheduled workweek (i.e. Saturday is the most common weekend day to be scheduled).
