Mosaic, the industry's leading national field marketing company, is currently looking for a qualified, dynamic individual for the position of Desktop Support Specialist to office out of our headquarters in Irving, TX. The Desktop Support Specialist is responsible for providing hardware, software and operating system support to local and remote end-users as well as technical guidance in the area of desktop hardware and software. Successful candidates will be responsible for providing solution-oriented services including:Provide advanced end-user support for workstation hardware & software and resolve escalated problems Install, configure, deploy, update and troubleshoot workstation hardware, peripherals and printers as well as Windows operating systems (NT, 2000, XP) and MS Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project and Visio. Provide remote support for field staff including VPN and Dial-up networking. Create an effective support relationship with specific business areas Build, document and maintain standard desktop images. Configure and administrate application systems, e.g. anti-virus, remote control, imaging servers Troubleshoot multi-media equipment such as, scanners, CD-ROM writers, & Printer/fax machines Provide phone-based support and monitor & respond to helpdesk email and voice-mail





REQUIREMENTS




Job Requirements:A minimum of 2 years direct working experience is required Familiarity with basic LAN topology, network protocols and troubleshooting techniques. Ability to work efficiently under pressure. Ability to work in an on-call capacity (weekly rotation with some after-hours and weekend support) Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills - verbal and written Effective organizational skills are a must Ability to work with employees at all levels Must be able to lift and move computers, monitors, servers, and other computing devices (50-70 lbs) Additional desired qualifications include A+; MCP

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to operate a computer; stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Regular lifting and moving of office & computer equipment required; up to 50 lbs.
