DIRECTOR OF ALUMNI RELATIONS

Michigan Tech welcomes applications for the position of Director of Alumni Relations. Reporting to the Vice President for Advancement, the Director’s key responsibilities will include the following:

Administering the soon-to-be-launched online alumni community
Planning and executing on- and off-campus alumni gatherings
Building a culture of giving among alumni and supporting the upcoming capital campaign
Providing staffing and leadership to the Alumni Association Board of Directors
Conveying and advocating for Tech’s brand and strategic priorities to alumni
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements
A bachelor’s degree, with five years of professional experience in marketing, external relations, or a closely related position is required. Tech seeks candidates with high energy, strong organizational and leadership skills, a command of technology and its uses in communication and marketing, and an affinity for a technological institution. Extensive travel is required. A sense of humor, the ability to write and speak well, and a desire to work in a team environment are musts.
