Full Job Title: Customer Training Specialist 3 Skills Management Title Maintenance TrainingJob Level: EXEMPTBusiness Component: Integrated Defense Systems (IDS)Job Description: Must be capable of reviewing and evaluating customer mechanical maintenance training needs to determine appropriate training content, objectives, and design. Develops, conducts and evaluates effectiveness of mechanical training. Uses computer with appropriate software to research, configure, maintain, update and develop new and existing media and materials. Assists with proposal development. Conducts analyses to evaluate customer technical training needs for military rotary wing aircraft to determine appropriate training objectives (e.g., enabling, supporting, terminal, learning), lesson content, and course design. Works under general direction. Competencies Familiar with and capable of reading aircraft technical drawings and converting content into lesson materials and mechanical system courseware. - Conduct in-depth discussions with mechanical system engineers and other specialists (e.g., designers, developers, programmers, technical publications/LSA specialists) to determine the content of training material at the system level. - Able to independently assemble and conduct complete customer training in broad subject areas using the appropriate medium (e.g., CD ROM, classroom, device, Web) to satisfy customer training requirements. - Conduct courseware reviews. - Update existing complete training material by incorporating technical and engineering changes and/or evaluations to maintain currency of course material. - Evaluate customer training by observing, measuring, testing, reviewing, and analyzing training to ensure that learning objectives are met effectively; observe and track student performance; recommend improvements as necessary. - A team player capable of performing under short notice requirements. - Experienced in the Instructional Systems Design (ISD) methodology (e.g., analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation), or it?s US Government equivalent. - Plan and schedule individual work to meet format, content, and milestone requirements.Notes: Prefer rotory wing aircraft, AH-64A or D related experience.
