Customer Support Engineer

This position will primarily be responsible for handling sales and technical inquiries for new applications. The position is instrumental in securing new opportunities through providing customer-centered technical support.
Essential Duties and Functions include but are not limited to the following:1. Engineering - Interact with customers to secure detailed design information.
- Convert design information into a viable design output – a sealing solution. - Interact with sales force and customers to maximize the "value" of a solution. 2. Costing/Pricing
- Create accurate cost models for existing and new design concepts
- Obtain and integrate production data into pricing models.
- Work with external vendors to secure technical data and product/material quotes.
3. Supporting Systems
- Follow existing documentation practices and continuously look for improvements.
- Support quality, environmental and safety management systems (including but not limited to the following: ISO-9002, QS-9002, and ISO 14001).
4. Other Duties
- Manager may assign other duties and special assignments as required.
REQUIREMENTS
Your qualifications:
* Two year Technical College or Associate’s degree with engineering background.* Three plus years experience in an order intake/customer support position.* Knowledge of plastics preferred.
* Demonstrated ability in attention to detail and calculating figures (geometric tolerances).
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Good mechanical aptitude.
* CAD experience (Solidworks preferred).Contact information
