Shft: DaysJob Description:Participates in all safety, security and infection control programs that are mandatory as well as those required and provided by the department. Demonstrates work practices consistent with Alegent Health and department-specific safety, security and infection control policies. Demonstrates the Alegent Health commitments in daily behaviors. Values and embraces multicultural traditions and recognizes when there is a need for and procures translations/interpretations appropriately. Complies with all internal and external regulations, polices and procedures. Demonstrates understanding and practice of JCAHO standards and HIPAA regulations. Supports Home Care efforts for continuous quality improvement. Participates in defining Home Care strategic priorities and in achieving its goals and thus contributes to planning for use of physical, human and capital budget fiscal resources. Provides ideas, comments and recommendations to Home Care through established forums, suggestion box, team meetings, steering groups, leadership communications and in any opportunity for open dialogue. Performs clinical procedures which do not require the skill/knowledge or judgment of a licensed professional and which may be safely delegated in accordance with Home Care policies, procedures and state professional licensure requirements. Responsible for education of client / family in correct / safe use of equipment and documents all teaching. Schedules deliveries in a cost effective and efficient manner.Experience Required: One (1) or two (2) years current general work experience required.
Preferred: Previous home medical equipment and / or delivery experience preferred.Education/Licensure Required: High School diploma or G.E.D. Current Drivers license and driving record must meet the requirements to be insurable under the Alegent Health Vehicle Insurance plan.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Requires the willingness to work any assigned eight hour schedule, overtime, and rotating on-call duty as scheduled. Requires the ability to perform a variety of duties characterized by frequent change.
