Customer Service Representative - Schinnerer - Chevy Chase, MD

The qualified candidate will provide customer service and administrative support to an underwriting unit in the company. Duties include handling client calls for coverage/information; entering and compiling data; performing routine clerical tasks to relieve underwriter of administrative details; and entering new business applications and processing standard renewals. Position provides general support throughout the underwriting process and assists team in meeting business plan objectives.

Job Responsibilities include:
Entering new business and renewal applicationsProcessing and distributing applicationsReviewing correspondence, records, and reports to select routine matters for processingHandling client inquiries, including answering incoming calls as well as initiating outgoing calls.Handling binder issues and following up with underwriter quotesFollowing up with clients for paymentReviewing and issuing policies according to underwriter's directionProcessing Term lettersHandling incoming and outgoing faxesProcessing daily work requests and assisting in managing accounts receivablesSupporting Program Manager on execution of business plan as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent2 years business experienceProven experience with customer contactBasic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPointAccurate data entryOrganized, with attention to detailGood customer service attitudeAbility to multi-task and work independently
