Customer Service (Activation Specialist)

Customer Service (Activation Specialist) Responsible for contacting clients that are slow to activate with the goal of increasing overall portfolio activation ration of new clients.Roles & Responsibilities:
Responsible for compliance with corporate policies established by Moneris Solutions including but not limited to HR Code of Conduct, Technology Policy & Privacy Policy
Responsible for developing tracking methods to determine activated vs non-activated merchants.
Responsible for contacting slow to activate new merchants or newly adopted value - add product/service from Moneris Solutions.
Responsible for determining reasons for non activations.
Responsible for working with Service, Sales and Operations to alleviate reasons for clients not activating.
Responsible for securing commitments from clients to activate accounts and follow up to track activation.
Responsible for participating on project teams as assigned.
Responsible for escalating customer issues that can not be resolved within 48 hours to Service team.
Responsible for submission of closures for merchant accounts that choose not to activate.
Responsible for creating reports to track reasons why a merchant refuses to activate.
Responsible for submission of tickets to the appropriate party for issue resolution.
Responsible for producing reports to determine activation trends month-over-month. Responsible for initiating and completing downloads for terminals certified on Base 24.
Responsible for initiating download requests with our multiple front end vendors.
REQUIREMENTS
Job Specifications: Excellent analytical skills
Excellent communication skills - verbal and written
Ability to meet monthly deadlines on a consistent basis
Experience with POS Portal
Proficient with MS Office Suite - Intermediate Excel preferred.
Must be self motivated
Schedule flexibility required
Abililty to prioritize workload and handle multiple tasks
Knowledge of POS devices helpful
College degree or 3-5 years industry experience.
