Contract Sales & Service Representative- Auto

JOB SUMMARY: Develop and implement sales strategy to maintain and increase revenue for assigned list of accounts. Provide customer service to accounts in advertising and related areas.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.Assist customers with advertising planning including layouts, copy, creative ideas, scheduling, ad placement and budgets.
2. Provide excellent customer service through follow-up on expiring ads, resolving advertiser complaints or billing problems, accuracy in published ads and communication with production department as needed to ensure quality.
3.Meet revenue and performance standards on a consistent basis.
4.Sell pertinent products to existing accounts including Tuesday Business, First Day Classifieds, Retail, preprints, and available section sections.
5.Cold-call accounts to generate new revenue streams, by soliciting them from other newspapers as well as online.
5.Keep advertisers informed of new products, changes in policy and rates.
6.Perform all necessary clerical duties relating to ad placement, i.e. typing of copy into DTI, scheduling paperwork, and processing ad layouts.
7.Back up voluntary phones as needed.
8.Is able to react to change productively and perform other tasks as assigned.
9.Responsible for the department’s adherence to all safety policies and procedures.
REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION, PREPARATION AND TRAINING: College degree in marketing, sales communications or related field preferred. Requires minimum of high school equivalent to perform calculations, keep records and effectively deal with others.

EXPERIENCE:Minimum of one-year sales or marketing experience preferred. Must have proven customer service skills. Computer literacy a must.
