Comp Operator/IS Help Desk Representative

Status:Full Time, EmployeeJob Category:Retail/Wholesale Career Level:Experienced (Non-Manager)COMPUTER OPERATOR/IS HELP DESK RESPRESENTATIVE Shift - 10:30 PM - 7:00 AM Full Time Monday through Friday SUMMARY: The Computer Operator/IS Help Desk Representative is responsible for assisting and supporting the operation and maintenance of all company computer systems in a multi-vendor environment. In this role, you will also be responsible for the IS Help Desk and will assist company users with a variety of different technology items, including store systems, telecommunication issues, warehouse technologies and PC related items. RESPONSIBILITES: Provide front line problem assessment assistance to users via the Help Desk by troubleshooting and assisting in resolution of technical problems Assist to resolution, or contact appropriate support person Monitor all company computer systems Track and record reported problems Run daily system jobs as scheduled Responsible for running backups on all company computer systems, including AS/400, NT, etc. Responsible for printing and distributing reports Assemble and install PC software for Corporate PC’s Perform system assignments on all technologies as assigned by Manager Assist in the development and documentation of department standards and procedures Provide data entry support as needed Advise Manager on trouble issues and solutions QUALIFICATIONS: 2+ years of computer operation experience or equivalent Knowledge of AS/400, NT, Telecommunications and PC a definite plus Windows experience Customer service focused Ability to analyze problems along with demonstrated technology aptitude Ability to work independently, or on a team Results driven Continuous learner orientation Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Detail oriented Strong work ethic and integrity Detail oriented Must be dependable and flexible - may be required to work extra hours Our Benefits include: Medical, Dental, and Life Insurance, Sick Time, Paid Vacation, Paid Holidays, 401 (k), and 20% Associate Discount.
