DriveTime will challenge your perceptions of the automotive industry as a career option.POSITION SUMMARY:Loan Representatives provide an initial point of contact where customers who are delinquent, or who are facing a personal situation that will result in delinquency can go for assistance with their account. Loan Representatives are responsible for providing an excellent level of customer service, and building a good relationship with their customers, while working with other DriveTime team members (including but not limited to the Loan Manager, Sales Manager, General Manager and Gilbert collections) to ensure the highest possible current account percentages are maintained, and later stage delinquencies are controlled or brought current wherever possible.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide excellent customer service to customers who proactively contact the company requesting assistance in meeting their contract obligations due to unexpected financial obligations (e.g. medical bills, lay-off, etc.). Contact or attempt contact with customers at all stages of delinquency (usually 1-45 days past due) in assigned queue of accounts on a daily basis, and work with them to bring their account current within the shortest period of time possible. Set up “Promises To Pay” (PTP), electronic check payments or money orders as requested by the customer. Complete “Meet and Greets” introducing themselves as the point of contact for any loan/payment issues, and outlining the responsibilities of the contract the customer has signed, prior to the customer leaving the dealership with their new vehicle. Conduct “Meet and Greets” by phone of all customers that are delivered when no one is available to do so at the store within 3 working days of the closing. Help customers who attempt to voluntarily surrender their vehicle to keep their vehicle while maintaining loan payment arrangements. Work with the Loan Manager and/or other dealership management as necessary to ensure that all lot drops are reported to Remarketing within 24 hours of arriving at the store. Assist in completing all unwind/rewind loan decisions. Work as a contributing member of the Loan Representative team. Assist in training or developing the skills of other Loan Representatives as requested by the Loan Manager. Maintain positive working relationships with the Loan Representative team and other dealership employees. Meet or exceed production goals (including but not limited to call volume, dollars collected and completion of meet and greets) on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. Complete additional technical training as available and/or required. Many of our employees have been with our company for years. Travel Percentage: 0%Minimum Qualifications: Knowledge of Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, must be self-motivated with strong decision making and problem solving abilities. Skilled with PC and Microsoft Operating Systems software, a variety of telephone equipment, including headset or handset. Ability to work cooperatively with other employees, customers, clients, and other involved parties. Required to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends. Education & Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent and 1 year experience in collections. Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered. Work involves repetitive motion associated with operating a keyboard and/or 10-key pad with a minimum of physical effort in an office setting.
