Collections Supervisor

As we continue to expand our customer driven initiatives, we now seek a highly experienced Collections Supervisor. The Norwood Collections Supervisor will oversee the daily workflow of the collection staff to ensure that all department and corporate objectives are being met. Coordinate with customers the collection of funds due the company for goods and services rendered. Protect the assets of Norwood by minimizing the number of delinquent accounts and bad debt write offs.
REQUIREMENTS
JOB DUTIES
•Compile and review weekly progress reports/scorecards for each collector
•Conduct phone monitoring for collectors on at least a quarterly basis, providing appropriate feedback, coaching and counseling as required
•Review weekly aging report focusing on delinquent accounts and large dollar past due receivables
•Work with collection agencies and attorneys to provide necessary backup documentation and completion of legal forms. Decision marker regarding legal pursuit against debtors
•Expeditiously resolve all customer escalations with unparalleled professionalism
•Supervise and provide work direction to collection staff
•Performs department staffing function with HR, timely associate evaluations, work schedules, coaching and counseling, and training requirements
•Enhance customer service focus of the credit department to ensure communications that will enhance Norwood’s relationship & image with customers
•Serve in problem resolution process to ensure accuracy and efficiency
•Evaluate current procedures and initiate process improvement using a team approach in the credit department
•Ensure that all procedures are value added, consistent, and promote flexibility and customer service
•Participate in the development of department forecasts & budgets, and manage within the limits of approved budgets
•Complete yearly employee evaluations


Our successful supervisor be customer and team focused with strong interpersonal and organizational skills. He/she will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills with solid PC/Internet skills. Proficiency in PeopleSoft and the ability to accurately type minimum 40 wpm is preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to gather and assess information in a fast-paced environment is essential. Our supervisor will have demonstrated excellent organization, time management skills as well as the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. He/she will need to be flexible to work additional hours as needed.
