Clinical Intervention Center Specialist

Omnicare/Interlock Pharmacy Systems is a long term care pharmacy that provides medication and related services to patients residing in nursing facilities. As a Clinical Intervention Center Specialist, you will be working in a customer service call center. Responsibilities include:
Verification of patient information for patients admitted to a nursing facility, including allergies and insurance, medicaid, and/or medicare eligibility. Enter all information into the computer.
Handle telephone calls in a professional and courteous manner.
Monitor and address rejected insurance claims and resubmit as necessary.
Handle aspects of the "Prior Authorization" processed used by third party insurance, medicaid and Medicare Part D.
Preparation of manual claim forms, when necessary.
REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent.
One year as a pharmacy technician or pharmacy order entry technician. One year third party insurance, Medicare, and/or Medicaid billing experience preferred.
Knowledge of office machines associated with the position, including Windows based PC.
Good work history and references.
High degree of motivation and self discipline with ability to prioritize own workload and adapt to new procedures.
Excellent communication and interactive skills.
