We are committed to responsible care in maintaining our position as the leading provider of pediatric health care services.Job Description: The Clinical Coordinator HME-Respiratory Services will be responsible for management of staff for sales, service, and educational skills to provide patient care, build revenue, ensure profitability, and maintain the quality image of company in the community.1. Manage location resources to reach service and budgeted revenue goals. Oversee and deliver, set-up, and maintain equipment and oxygen as required in accordance with applicable DOT , FDA and corporate guidelines.
2. Assure that patients are assigned for day to day management to clinicians.
3. Evaluate new referrals for admission with recommendations for care.
4. Educate patients in proper use and care of respiratory and HME equipment in a home setting.
5. Provide in-service education for all personnel. Perform such services to accrediting body guidelines and specifications.
6. Complete written patient visit reports following set-up and follow-up visits as required.
7. Maintain communication and rapport with ordering physicians through patient visit reports and other appropriate means.
8. Assist in resolving patient equipment problems under emergency conditions.
9. Process orders in a timely, accurate manner.
10. Promote services and products to referral sources in the community as appropriate.
11. Develop basic reimbursement knowledge and complete documents and information necessary to ensure maximum reimbursement.
12. Develop technical knowledge, as appropriate, of the HME or respiratory products/services sold.
13. Coordinate product recalls.
14. Assist and participate in the implementation of IOP Plan to meet company and accrediting body standards.
15. Maintain home oxygen systems through regularly scheduled visits to patients.
16. Deliver and set-up required equipment in the patient's residence, or other location as directed.
17. Assume on-call responsibilities in accordance with he company policy.
18. Perform routine as needed preventive maintenance and simple repairs on equipment as required in accordance with the company's policies.
19. Report equipment hazards and/or product incidents as required in accordance with company policy.
20. Manage materials procurement and distribution. Ensure company standard of inventory level is met or exceeded. Monitor and control the company assets at the branch location and the assets on rental in the patients home.
21. Monitor branch operational expenses to comply with established percentage to revenue
22. Oversee acceptable turnaround on CMNs. Work or monitor the A/R aging report to attain A/R goals.
23. Participate in, formulate, and conduct continuing education programs.
24. Attend staff meetings as required by location.
25. REQUIREMENTS
1. Ability to manage and direct patient representatives and communicate well with patients, referral sources and other location employees. 2. Bachelor's Degree, RRT, CRTT, RN, or LPN, or equivalent experience in HME industry. 3. Current CPR certification. 4. Licensed or credentialed as required by state or states of service area. 5. Minimum supervisory experience of one year in a professional discipline. 6. Pediatric experience preferred.
