Client Service Specialist - Columbus, OH

In the role of Client Service Specialist (CSS) you will be the
first contact for our clients, in this role you will be responsible
for greeting the clients, daily cashiering, assisting the investment
specialist and branch manager with administrative duties, projects as
assigned and client service resolution. Researching and resolving
basic customer account problems. Demonstrating sound negotiation
skills and using good business judgment consistent with Schwab
policies and procedures. Consistently handling issues in an exemplary
manner even when client is irate and or incorrect. Escalates problems
to appropriate internal resources when necessary. Addressing client
issues through written correspondence or via telephone interaction.
Documenting research and agreements in a clear, concise and organized
manner. Identifying or cultivating new internal resources to enable
effective research and resolution of client problems. Proactively
supporting and contributing to team effort, shares knowledge and
skills as appropriate. Seeking out, root causes, for issues that
tend to appear in the branch frequently or on a widespread basis.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work related experience. Minimum 18
months direct face-to-face client contact. Has general knowledge of
Schwab products and services. Demonstrated experience handling client
concerns and issues with tact and diplomacy. Good written and oral
communication skills. Ability to work independently and effectively
as part of a team. Basic understanding of brokerage regulations and
rules that govern client accounts. Ability to handle multiple tasks
and responsibilities simultaneously. Ability to develop and maintain
good cross enterprise working relationships. Proficient with Windows
based software, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Working
knowledge of MS Access a plus. Must have a Series 7 license or
willing to get the license within 6 months.
