Career Services Representative

Corinthian Colleges, Inc., a publicly traded corporation (NASDAQ: COCO) with 91 campuses serving over 40,000 students nationwide has an immediate opening for a highly motivated, results-oriented Career Services Representative at our Everest College – Colorado Springs, CO campus:

Summary:

Under direct supervision, coordinate and assist in job search and placement for students of a specific employment program. Maintain confidential client and referral records. Administer job surveys and inventory questionnaires. Deliver and/or coordinate presentations, workshops, and seminars, as appropriate to the position. Evaluate and resolve student inquiries, issues, and problems, and ensure appropriate action is taken to the satisfaction of the student, Company, and/or regulatory agencies in compliance with policies, procedures and legal requirements.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Achieve targeted minimum placement rate as set by Career Services Director.
Maintain contact with local employers to obtain information on job opportunities to develop and enhance working relationships, and to facilitate student placement.
Maintain a database of employment possibilities and resource library including career guidance references, employment literature and related information.
Assist all qualified graduates in their job seeking efforts by conducting workshops in resume and portfolio development, career goal assessment, interviewing techniques, and personal appearance.
Coordinate employer field trips, attend job fairs, and prepare print materials to generate job leads.
Identify entry-level job openings for students and graduates through phone calls, newspaper ads, personal contacts and written correspondence.
Ensure that all placement related data is entered into the Company designated electronic record keeping system on an accurate and timely basis.
Verification of continuous employment for a specified period of time in accordance with institution, accreditation, and Company guidelines.
Assist with graduation ceremonies.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS


Associates Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field and 3 to 5 years relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
