Shft: EveningsJob Description:Maintain all supply and exchange carts within the patient care area. Restock and adjust supply level when indicated.Process patient charge stickers from the patient care area. Update and complete supply restock items from the computer. Maintain accurate patient charges and credits.Process and distribute supply and medical equipment as requested.Process surgical instruments, trays and case carts.Maintain sterile processing procedures of all surgical supplies related to ETO gas and steam. Processes incoming supply request to Central Services through the phone system and/or fax and distribute needed supplies.Participates in the ticketing, restocking and data entry into the material management system of the Central Supplies department.Experience
Position requires a minimum of one year of materials management and sterilization experience, preferably in a health care environment.Education/Licensure
Position requires a High School Degree. Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Must possess knowledge of processing and distribution of central supply and medical equipment; ability to utilize computer processing in day to day activities; strong knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and professional standards; good communication skills; strong change management skills; must demonstrate personal traits of a high level of motivation; team orientation; professionalism; trust; and place a high value on treating others with dignity and respect.
