DESCRIPTION:Reconcile and accurately post and apply payments received through lockboxes, postal services, internal payments, collection receipts and from legacy sales systems. Identify and report situations which negatively impact prompt or efficient applications of cash.RESPONSIBILITIES:
Apply all payments received through the lock boxes with minimal transactional data error.

Efficiently and expediently manage the application of payments according to the customer’s payment advice.

Identify processing exceptions that inhibit application efficiencies and recommend solutions i.e. incorrect MICR profiles, inappropriate auto-cash rules, customer account hierarchy, etc.

Resolve all unapplied cash on accounts.

Utilize available internal and external software and hardware tools to maximize productivity while maintaining transaction integrity.

Support collection efforts through clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.

Support marketing program reporting through detailed and timely documentation.

Report large or non-standard deduction occurrences to management immediately.

Assist as needed in posting various journals entries, debit-credit offsets, or other adjustments as assigned.
High volume numeric data entry.QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Minimum one year experience in cash application systems

Experience in online, open item accounts receivable system preferred

Functional in MS applications; Excel and Word

BASIS experience a plus.

Effective communication skills

Strong organizational skills

Able to work in a fast paced environment
Qualified applicants must have experience in high volume data entry. Data entry skills must be accurate.
