IKEA Maintenance Coworker!, under supervision, you will perform various building maintenance, repair and inspection duties for IKEA Tempe, Home Furnishings retailer. The coworker will work from blueprints, drawings, models and verbal instructions in building maintenance repairs using tools standard to the trade. Works with others as part of a team and Contributes to an environment where the IKEA Culture is a strong and living reality that embraces the diversity of coworkers and customers.
Cleans, maintains and repairs building fixtures, windows and window blinds and coverings, screens, doors and door hardware, gutters, drains, shelving, and equipment; replaces light bulbs and fuses; makes simple furniture, cabinet, tile and linoleum repairs; assists electrician in maintaining and repairing electrical lines and fixtures; assists plumber and HVAC mechanic in lubricating, regulating, and repairing sewage, water, cooling, and heating system lines and equipment; assists in repairing roofs; assists in repairing plaster and concrete; assists in painting buildings and equipment; assist with furniture moves; operates automotive equipment and hauls material; requisitions supplies; makes reports on work completed.
Performs other duties assigned as needed.
This position requires working irregular hours, day/evening/night shifts, weekends, and Holidays. Required to wear pager, radio and/or phone during work hours.You Have:
Mechanical aptitude with Carpentry, Electrical, Plumbing and HVAC knowledge
Energy management systems knowledge
Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics
Knowledge of fire and security systems
Multi tasking skills
Computer literacy
Interest in home furnishings
Ability to lift 50 lbs. (25 kg)Your Workplace:
