Bell Attendant Job Description
Starting Wage: $3.91
To assist guests by transporting luggage to and from hotel rooms and to perform miscellaneous services upon request.
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Handles all luggage requirements to and from guest rooms. Delivers materials, communications and all other collateral to guest rooms. Maintains storage facility for all guest luggage and suitable materials. Instructs guests on correct operation of all equipment in rooms and informs them of hotel amenities and services. Provides information about hotel, city activities, and hotel functions. Provides miscellaneous guest services: mail service, message service, delivery of newspapers, laundry, dry cleaning, etc. Maintains baggage room, baggage carts, guest elevators, and hotel lobby in a neat and orderly manner. Checks hotel room upon departure of guests. REQUIREMENTS
KNOW-HOW/EXPERIENCE:
Qualified candidates will have:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Strong interpersonal skills and a "guest first" mentality
Demonstrated ability to communicate in a pleasant, professional manner
Strong customer focus
Knowledge of hotel facilities, services, and operations

This job is a 24 hour/7 day a week operation and requires flexibility with schedules
Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds, occasional heavy lifting up to 50 lbs. is required
Position requires availability on weekends and holidays and is considered to be essential
