Bakery Customer Service

1. Have a thorough understanding of department merchandising standards and ensure that quality of product, freshness and presentation are always meeting standards. 2. Ensure that our customers are getting the highest level of customer service. 3. Support the visions and goals of the Team, Store, and Regional Leadership. 4. Read and are knowledgeable about information communicated in the log book. 5. Communicate any equipment, or customer service issues to the supervisor. 6. Set up/closing and maintenance of all venues according to the venue merchandising standards, opening/closing checklists and department pre-opening checklist. 7. Meet timelines for department setup and breakdown on a daily basis. 8. Maintain integrity of our PLU system, CIX information and quality of department signage. 9. Follow all shelf life and tare weight guidelines. 10. Maintain break schedule, waste sheets, temperature & sweep logs. 11. Maintain sanitation and cleanliness standards 12. Maintain supplies-well organized and fully stocked. 13. Understanding of WFM quality standards, late policies, dress code, and any specific store standards. 14. Participate in training of any new Customer Service TM’s. 15. Participate in all team and store meetings. 16. Whatever else it takes to get our department ready for customers.
REQUIREMENTS
1. Basic knowledge of ingredient information and nutri-facts for Bakery products. 2. Great customer service skills and a desire to serve our customers. 3. Will taste and evaluate all products offered in department. 4. Understand and be able to effectively communicate Quality Goals to customers. 5. Ability to perform physical requirements of position (see below). 6. Proper handling of knives and other cutting equipment. 7. Ability to learn proper use of baler (must be 18 years of age or older). 8. Ability to work well with others. 9. Able to work a flexible schedule based on the needs of the store, including nights and weekends as required.
