BILINGUAL INSIDE SALES / CUSTOMER SERVICE, TOOLS & TOOLING EQUIP

OUR CLIENT, A LEADING SUPPLIER OF MECHANICAL TOOLS & EQUIPMENT SEEKS A BILINGUAL (ENGLISH/SPANISH) INSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE TO PROVIDE TECHNICAL SALES SERVICE & SUPPORT TO ITS CUSTOMER BASE IN THE OIL & GAS, PETROCHEMICAL, REFINING, POWER GENERATION, HEAVY INDUSTRY, CONSTRUCTION, & PIPELINE INDUSTRIES.

THIS DYNAMIC, HIGHLY ORGANIZED & DETAIL ORIENTED INDIVIDUAL MUST BE ABLE TO SUCCESSFULLY MULTI-TASK & PRIORITIZE WORKING IN A VERY FAST PACED & DYNAMIC SALES OFFICE.

MUST HAVE A TECHNICAL & MECHANICAL APTITUDE TO ANSWER CUSTOMER QUESTIONS RELATING TO THE EQUIPMENT BEING SOLD & POSSIBLY TROUBLE SHOOT OVER THE PHONE.

MUST HAVE STRONG CUSTOMER SERVICE ABILITIES & RELATIONSHIP BUILDING SKILLS, WITH CONSISTENT CUSTOMER FOLLOW-UP.

POSITION REPORTS TO SALES MANAGEMENT & OFFERS EXCELLENT COMPENSATION, BENEFITS PACKAGE & TRAINING.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Receive incoming customer inquiries via phone and walk-in business

- Provide overall customer service and support direct to the customers and the outside sales and rep staff.

- Be proactive in all sales related duties to initiate action by customers, reps, and internal staff.

- Take incoming phone inquiries direct from customers, area representatives, field personnel and internal offices.

- Problem solving customers needs regarding tools & equipment and solving inventory shortages to meet the customers needs.

- Order entry and order invoicing into mainframe computer system.

- Prepare and issue formal quotations following format designed by sales manager including utilizing quote logging system.

- Liaise with shop/plant and sales personnel on specific order requirements to insure customers needs are met.

- Liaise with shop/plant on inventory control issues

- Follow-up on rental orders on a weekly basis to insure customer satisfaction and product utilization.

- Follow-up on open quotations to secure orders and close sales.

- Keep thorough notes and records of conversations with customers, sales personnel, and internal contacts to insure a valid paper trail is kept.

- Rotate on the on-call list to assist customers after hours, weekends, and holidays.

- Backup on phone system to insure calls are answered efficiently and rotate during lunch periods, or when shorthanded because of vacation or sick leave.

- Coordinate shipping of equipment when necessary and negotiate with freight companies the best rate possible.

- Provide ample notice to shop/plant personnel of order requirements to insure most economical shipping method is used.

- Follow and implement all ISO procedures and paperwork.
REQUIREMENTS
- 2 to 5 years experience with sales related responsibilities or college degree.

- Experience working with the Petrochemical/Refining, Oil & Gas or Power Generation market.

- Bilingual (English/Spanish) abilities

- Strong Organizational skills

- Technical background

- Mechanical aptitude.

- Experience handling high volume calls

- Multi-tasking abilities

- Strong PC experience working with Microsoft programs and database software management programs.

- Strong problem solver with closing skills.

- Ability to pay close attention to detail and follow up with potential clients, reps, and existing customers.

- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written skills with the ability to work as a team member.

- Positive attitude with a customer oriented personality.
