Automation Technician / Robotics / PLC's / Field Technician. 70% travel.

Client is an established integrator of automated manufacturing and assembly systems. The company employees engineers and technical staff who design, build, install and service factory automation systems for production lines. The company has developed a strong leadership position based on innovation and proprietary products that range from conveyor systems and gantry robots to production line accessories. We are looking to add a qualified Customer Service Technician.

Qualifications Required
"5 yrs+ experience in a Service and Support organization for automation systems. Robotics, Programmable Controller, PLC controls , Allen Bradley,
"Associates degree in ME/IE/EE or equivalent a plus.
"Proficient with AutoCAD, AB PLC5, SLK599, Omron LSS, Seimens and Fanuc controllers.
"Specific knowledge and experience with automation installations.
"Demonstrated ability to assist and service customer's automation equipment at the customer's site in such a manner that meets the customer's expectations.
"Ability to assess the requirements of the job at the site and complete what needs to be done in an acceptable, timely and professional manner.
"Proven track record of increasing customer satisfaction by on site resolution of issues.
"Requires excellent telephone communication, technical writing and presentation skills.
Duties include
"Travel to customer site and resolve automation equipment issues. (70% incl. Canada/Mexico)
"Services or repairs mechanical and electronic equipment at the customer's site.
"Program various controllers as needed to resolve customer issues.
"Utilizes hand tools and test equipment to perform work.
"Mechanically develop in field solutions to resolve automation equipment issues.
"Analyze material requirements for on site repairs of automation equipment.
"Complete daily service reports and time reports.
"Discusses with engineering problems relating to maintenance or operation of equipment.
"Provide updated programs/ drawings to engineering group
