Associate Buyer / Production Planner

SpecialTeas is a leading provider of premium loose tea. Since its foundation in 1996, the company has quickly grown into a prime importer and distributor of the World's Finest Teas and Tea Accessories. SpecialTeas now sells its products in over 50 countries through catalog and web venues.

Position Overview:
The Associate Buyer / Production Planner is responsible for product replenishment, production planning, inventory management and expected to support product development, maintain effective and productive cross functional relationships, follow up continually on purchase orders, vendor service, delivery schedules, and product quality. This position reports to the Purchasing Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare and Generates Purchase Orders
- Initiate and maintain communication with vendors
- Run reports in company database
- Follow up Import and Domestic Shipment
- Inventory Management
- File and Data Maintenance
- Prepare routine correspondence
- Contact requested Product / Market Research
- Perform general office tasks
REQUIREMENTS
- Strong analytical and written/verbal communication skills
- Detail oriented and High accuracy level
- Able to multi-task and resolve moderately complex problems
- Team player
- Self-Starter, Resourceful
- Strong work ethic, takes initiative
- Responsible and Flexible
- Task oriented
- Fast Learner, Willingness to learn
- Proficient computer knowledge including, but not limited to Microsoft Office, outstanding Excel skills a plus
- High School Diploma required. College Graduate preferred
